Bolivar’s New Year’s Eve Community Lantern Parade has been rescheduled!

Due to tomorrow’s inclement weather forecast, Bolivar’s New Year’s Eve Community Lantern Parade has been rescheduled for January 25, 2025, at 6 PM, which is ‘Frosty Fest’ in Jefferson County.

Parade participants will assemble in the staff parking lot on the west side of Harpers Ferry Middle School, facing Elm St.  We will process down Washington Street to Harpers Ferry’s Town Hall, then loop back up Washington St to the Bolivar Community Center, where we will gather for cider and cookies. There is parking in the school parking lot off Polk Street, at Bolivar’s Community Center, and in the municipal parking lot off Taylor Street, one block west of the community center.

We welcome your participation! We invite you to wear twinkle lights, to carry a paper lantern you bring from home that is illuminated with LED lights, to play an instrument or carry windchimes.
