Why live in Bolivar?

The Town of Bolivar is a small community located in the easternmost point of West Virginia. Originally known as Mudfort, the Town was chartered in 1825 and renamed after the South American revolutionary leader Simon Bolivar. The Town currently has a population of about 1,100 citizens.

Located only 20 minutes of Frederick, MD and an hour and a half from the heart of Washington DC, living in Bolivar allows you to experience a small town atmosphere while still enjoying the conveniences of larger cities.
