The town election is scheduled for June 6th. On Wednesday, May 17th at 6:00pm, a candidate forum will be held at the Anvil Restaurant for Bolivar residents to hear from and ask questions of candidates running for mayor, recorder, and council. ​Former County Commissioner Lyn Widmyer will moderate the nonpartisan forum, an event organized as a community service by the Harpers Ferry-Bolivar Historic Town Foundation. Questions for the candidates may be submitted in advance to [email protected]. Please indicate is the question is addressed to an individual, all candidates for mayor, the candidate for recorder (running unopposed), or all the candidates for council. The Anvil will make food and drink available for purchase.
